The defining feature of this knife is its stunning pink and purple Zome handle. Zome (pronounced "zoh-may") is a class of traditional Japanese handicrafts that focuses on dyeing textiles. Inspired by this rich cultural and artistic heritage, the injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handles of Spyderco's Zome knives are molded in a light base color and then individually hand dyed by expert Japanese artisans. Using a technique reminiscent of classical hiki-zome (brush dyeing), darker colors of dye are hand brushed onto the handle to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind patterns.
The other features of this Exclusive expression of the Delica 4 include a full-flat-ground Plain Edge™ blade crafted from VG-10 stainless steel, a sturdy back lock mechanism, and a four-position hourglass pocket clip that supports all possible carry configurations.
